It is said that approximately 40% will experience Hemorrhoids sometime in their lifetime. (The other 60% sure are a lucky bunch.) As anyone who has (or have had) them can attest Hemorrhoids is a miserable condition that can be rather embarrassing to talk about but talk we must (to find a solution).

Obviously severe cases need to consult a physician for treatment but less severe cases may find a cure in one of a variety of treatments. There are some natural remedies that work well but what about other remedies? If natural treatments work well then why use so called "unnatural" solutions? Something just doesn't sound quite safe about a remedy that is the opposite of natural.

Now for some of the causes:

- Straining during bowel movements caused by either constipation or diarrhea.
- Hypertension can cause hemorrhoids because of connections between the portal vein and the vena cava in the rectal wall.
- Obesity can cause increased rectal vein pressure.
- Sitting for prolonged periods.
- Poor muscle tone can cause too much pressure on the rectal veins.
- Poor posture can cause pressure on the rectal veins.
- Pregnancy with hypertension.
- Diarrhea caused by excessive alcohol or caffeine. Caffeine can increase blood pressure and Alcohol can cause liver disease and portal hypertension.

Perhaps the list includes some causes of Hemorrhoids that you never considered. The solution to some may be as simple as a change of lifestyle or diet after the initial treatment. Other may require a visit to the physician for medical treatment to address any other health related issues causing Hemorrhoids.

To begin proper treatment you must first know the cause of Hemorrhoids. Once you know the cause and solution, treatment can begin and ahhh...so does the RELIEF!
