What is All this Nonsense About Curing Tinnitus?

Submitted by Pat Patrickson

It does sound like nonsense, doesn't it? After all, if you doctor says it's incurable, it a qualified opinion from someone who studied the human body for a number of years. Yet there are "proven cures" available, apparently with scientific grounds. Who do you believe?

On the one hand, your doctor is right. Tinnitus itself cannot simply "cured". There are some cases caused by medical conditions like high blood pressure, ear infections or even sinus. In these cases the elimination of the problem will also eliminate the tinnitus itself. But what about the rest?

In most cases, tinnitus accompanies a loss of hearing. Regardless of how it came about, the loss of hearing creates the "platform" for tinnitus to develop. Keep in mind that a loss of hearing will not necessarily result in tinnitus, but it does create ideal conditions for its development. As a result, most people suffering from buzzing or ringing ears happen to be people who lost some of their hearing.

Now the obvious question arises: If you cannot cure a loss of hearing, how do you cure the tinnitus that accompanies it? Although the execution of the "cure" is somewhat complex, the basic principle is simple: Find everything that contributes to the condition, and eliminate it.

While this may sound simple, you may want to keep in mind that tinnitus has a multitude of contributing causes, and in any given case the cause may be singular or complex. It may be as simple as addressing your high blood pressure or it may be as complex as sifting through your diet to find out which foods aggravate your symptoms. It may require you to change your lifestyle, or it may be over within a week.

Your doctor is right when he claims that tinnitus cannot be cured. However, you can compare it to a fire: You may not be able to kill it with your bare hands, but if you can remove the air it needs to stay alive, it will die. In the case of tinnitus, you do not cure the tinnitus itself, but you address all the contributing factors.

Curing Tinnitus can be a simple, straightforward process, or it can be an endless struggle. There are just so many possible factors you may have to contend with, that it may become an impossible task if you have no one to guide you. To claim you free e-course on tinnitus, simply CLICK HERE
