Unwanted hair has remained one of the gravest problems of humans, who want to look great every time. Although, there is no dearth of hair removal treatments available in the market, you must keep a thorough check on the available treatments so as to opt for the best one in the lot. In all the methods available in the market, electrolysis is yet another method of removing unwanted hair by electric current from your body. Though somewhat different from laser hair removal treatment, it involves a fine needle that is inserted into the hair follicle and from which electric current is passed to that particular area. This is done to primarily disable the hair root completely.

Along with other techniques of laser hair removal treatments, electrolysis is something, which is used in particular needs and requirements. Electrolysis is primarily gainful for smaller areas as compared to larger areas where there is extra growth of hairs. Electrolysis is particularly preferred for small hair removals such as facial hair, upper lips part, and shoulders in women. In men it is used around ear lobe area. However, if the area is too big to handle, it becomes a bit difficult to treat such as hairs on the chest, arms, legs, and back. One of the other features that make electrolysis all the more popular is its capacity to remove hair permanently. One may undergo slightly higher levels of pain but the fact is that if the part is treated with electrolysis, there is no chance of hair growth in future. The only drawback with this hair removal treatment is that it is more time consuming as compared to laser hair removal.

One might have to invest slightly more time as far as electrolysis hair removal treatment is concerned, yet when it comes permanent hair removal, this treatment becomes all the more significant and worthwhile. As far as time to be invested is required, it amounts to 2 to 3 hours as compared to 2-3 minutes done by laser hair removal. The pertinent reason lies in the fact that because the needle is inserted into the individual hair follicle separately, laser hair beam can do it in a faster way. However, due to electrolysis, skin becomes red for short time but gets back to normal very shortly. Therefore, electrolysis is ideal for short area such as face, shoulder and eyebrow hair. If you have lot of hair in arm legs, body and chest, then it is better to go for laser treatment. So, the next time you go for hair removal make sure that you opt for laser hair removal or electrolysis depending on your actual need. Make sure to select the right kind of hair removal technique.
