Female hair loss can have many causes. Some of these can be the same causes that affect men, such as poor diet, too much tension and an enlarged thyroid gland. However, there are also certain conditions that are specific to causing hair loss in women.

Instead to try and prevent hair loss and also lose weight, you should try and avoid crash diets. Improve your diet and lifestyle with regular exercise, eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and drink more water.

Scalp massaging can also help counteract hair loss by increasing and stimulating the blood flow to your hair follicles.

As a final point you need to remember that even though female hair loss is a very distressing and disturbing experience, there are plenty of organizations that can help you cope with your situation. In addition, as distressing as it may be, it is more than likely a temporary situation and the sooner you can identify the cause, the sooner you can start the correct treatment.
