Corporate Party Planning

Submitted by neillisa

Planning a birthday party or family dinner has its high points, but corporate parties are something quite different. While it\'s also about good food and good company, to a certain extent it\'s also about impressions. Companies host parties not just to mingle, but also to forge lasting relationships and build a good image. Needless to say, the planning tends to be a bit more complicated.

Fortunately, there are ways to simplify the task without sacrificing quality or budget. For starters, think of a good theme-it could be the company colors, the brand mascot, or something that relates to your corporate motto. Themes are vital to every party, but they\'re even more important in corporate events because it gives them a sense of structure. A solid theme will guide all your decisions and help you stay on track.

Next, you\'ll need to plan a good menu. When you\'re out to impress, you can\'t just put a menu together overnight-you need to plan it according to the mood and atmosphere you want to set. Do you want a casual buffet-style setting, or a more formal five-course menu? Keep your guests\' interests in mind. For example, if they\'re allowed to bring their families, incorporate kid-friendly choices into the table so they won\'t feel left out.

For dessert, try serving custom corporate cupcakes. They\'re all the rage these days because they\'re cheap, simply and surprisingly stylish. Have them frosted with your company colors to keep it consistent, or have your company logo piped on with colored icing. You can either have it done professionally, or do it yourself if you\'re feeling creative. It takes a good bit of work, but it\'s well worth it-and you can be sure every guest will appreciate the effort.

Finally, shop around for little souvenirs you can give to your guests. Even something as simple as a pen or mug can go a long way. Try adding a personal touch, such as a handwritten note, to make your guests feel more special. With your company logo on each gift, it\'s like mobile advertising-only a lot more effective, since it\'s a sincere gift that\'s sure to be appreciated.

Corporate parties can be hard to plan, but not if you know the right tricks. Here are some simple tips to help you plan a corporate event that\'s sure to impress.
