What is the Significance of Fertigator Fertilizer?Submitted by art.devin@gmail.com Mon, 13 Apr 2009
Fertigator fertilizer is a type of fertilizer specially made by the Fertigator Company. Fertigation refers to a process of slow feeding soil by sending small amounts of fertilizer through an irrigation system on a regular basis. This is a common practice in agriculture and is in contrast to traditional irrigation. Traditional irrigation involves delivering all of the nutrients at once. Because plants quickly use up these “poured” nutrients, this can result in overfeeding. The landscaper assumes that the abundance of chemical fertilizing formula is enough to hold off treatment for quite a while. However, this only results in developing plant life “starving” for a number of weeks.
The Fertigator fertilizer is specifically made to work with automatic fertilizer injection systems, like the Fertigator Pro or Fertigator Mojo Feeder. This system will attach to an in-ground sprinkler system and then slowly feed the soil every time the land is watered. Fertigator fertilizer must be used with these devices for two primary reasons: first, because this formula is designed to release gradually, according to the operation of the system. That means that if you use generic organic fertilizer, you could be damaging the soil or budding plant life. Second, Fertigator fertilizer is made to work with the system; therefore, generic fertilizer can also affect the system quality itself. Fertigator fertilizer makes a nutrient-rich environment possible for developing plant life. Remember that plants tend to use nitrogen and other nutrients rapidly, and so even a reduced amount of fertilizer could be gone in a short period of time. Instead of overfeeding or starving plants, the best thing to do is to control the amount of nutrients being distributed. Now your first thought is probably to use a slow release fertilizer, since it’s the same concept. However, these systems tend to be pricey and very time consuming. On the contrary, a Mojo Feeder system with Fertigator fertilizer simply requires the consumer to install the system and then let the device run automatically. Official Fertigator fertilizer is called FertiGro and must be used with the system, if for no other reason, than to keep the warranty plan valid. The company makes a variety of fertilizer formulations including an “All in One” product that combines many of the same features. Individually, you can look for blends like FertiGro TLC (Total Lawn Care), FertiGro TSC (Total Summer Care), or FertiGro TGC (Total Garden Care). Along with these formulas you also get GatorGuard, a supplemental element that operates as an all-natural pest deterrent. The benefits of using Fertigator fertilizer include healthier plants with more colorful foliage, stronger roots, plants that better resists pests and disease, and a significant increase in the thickness and quality of the turf. Furthermore, using the Fertigator system, you can reduce fertilizer run off (which is not only costly but also a threat to the environment) and reduce your water usage. Use Fertigator fertilizer with this innovative Fertigator system.
