The 2010 Yellowstone National Park Quarter is the latest quarter to be released in the America the Beautiful Quarters program and the 2nd one in 2010.

What Is the America the Beautiful Quarters Program?

The America the Beautiful Quarters Program will feature designs that represent national parks as well as other historic places. Each and every year, 5 fresh national place designs will be portrayed upon the reverse side of each of the America the Beautiful Quarters. The U. S. Mint is planning to release the quarters in the sequence that these chosen locations have been initially founded as national places.

Why Was Yellowstone National Park Chosen For The Quarters Program?

Yellowstone National Park was first established as a national site on March 1, 1872. A large number of different wild life call the park home. • nnRepresentatives of Yellowstone Park were consulted during the design's development. The heads side (obverse) is the same as the other coins in the series: John Flanagan's restored 1932 portrait of George Washington and the following inscriptions (all in capital letters):nn
