Memories on Photos on Canvas

Submitted by Liz Connelly

Photo websites allow consumers to download images onto the website, and after it is decided what size is preferred then Voila! Photos on canvas are made. If consumers are computer savvy, then this is considered the most convenient yet more inexpensive way to create photos on canvas. After this process is done, a package will come in the mail with the picture neatly printed on canvas and mounted onto a canvas frame.
Digital photos on canvas can also be made in the comfort of ones own home. Canvas needs to be bought in a size that will fit through a home printer, such as 8.5 X 11. These can be purchased online or at your local craft store. Once the desired image is ready for print, place the canvas in the printer and print just like any other document. It will be wet when it comes out. Hang the canvas print to dry and then take to a local frame shop for mounting.
To create photos on canvas print, follow the same steps as above except first the photo must be made into digital form. Take the negative to a photo department, and then scan the image to be uploaded as a jpeg image onto a CD, and then upload to the PC at home. From here, the image can then be printed onto canvas from a home printer, just the same as the steps above.
Another simple approach, to bypass using the internet or creating a print from a negative to obtain photos on canvas print is to visit the nearest 1 hour photo and let them take care of the entire process. Talk with the employees, show them which negative you would like on canvas. They will be happy to order this for you through a third party. The process of mailing a negative for print to canvas via their third party partners may take up to 6 weeks.
Whichever way you decide to create your photo on canvas, you will end up with a product that will be a great conversation piece and remind friends and family of memories for years to come.
