Avoid Cockroaches to avoid diseases

When we think of cockroaches, the first thought which comes in our mind is about creepy little creatures that invade our homes and run through our food and garbage. There are around 400 species of cockroaches in Australia, of which only a handful are introduced pests that have been responsible for this reputation. Cockroaches have been present on this earth from millions of years now. They are oval-shaped creatures with compound eyes and long antennae. An adult German roach is about 16mm long; you can see long antennae and dark stripes behind the head. Australia is home to the heaviest cockroach, the Giant Burrowing Cockroach that weighs in at around 50 grams. They are wingless and often mistaken for beetles.

The life cycle involves incomplete metamorphosis. The eggs are either laid close to a food source or are carried by the parent until they hatch. Roaches do not form colonies the way termites or ants do but they often live in groups. They prefer warm and damp places. Roach activity is usually highest at night. Any activity during day time indicates that you have lot of cockroaches around who have been pushed out of harborages.

Roaches can easily survive and grow quickly where there is adequate food and water. While roaches do not cause structural damage their presence often indicates unsanitary conditions that may be unhealthy. There are also concerns about them directly causing allergic reactions and spreading disease by contaminating food. The smell of food contaminated by cockroach is very distinctive.

We all know the fact that the substances which they feed on are already contaminated, and as they move from one location to another they spread the disease along the way.

Cockroaches carry diseases like dysentery, typhoid and poliomyelitis, as well as gastroenteritis because they live on unsanitary substances. Cockroaches can eat substances which has been not been covered leaving particles of feces, salivary gland secretions in it and if people eat such food it can cause asthma as well as other health problems.

Cockroach & pest control is very important because you cannot always see, smell, or even taste the presence of cockroaches, yet you can ingest these items and become sick.

Many people believe that cockroach problems can be taken care of themselves. The fact is, Cockroach disease can spread fast especially when you know that they often hang out in the kitchen and places where you prepare food.Pest treatment, termite control, cockroach control is very necessary to live better life. If children are living in home then these things are very danger and no one should ignore it
