There's a saying that the kitchen is the heart of a home. Any wife or mother understands the importance of having the kitchen that's perfect for them. That's why some women are particular about this part of the house when looking at a Philippines property. Whether you're buying a house, building your own, or just looking to invest in real estate Philippines, a kitchen could make or break a house.
There are many different styles of kitchens you could find in a Philippines property. A kitchen could be traditional, contemporary, modern, industrial, or themed. Don't let anyone dictate how your kitchen should look like. Browse through pictures of kitchens online to find the style that's right for you.
One of the major aspects of a kitchen is the material used for the kitchen countertops. Below are some of the commonly used kitchen countertops today.

* Granite. Probably one of the most popular materials used in kitchen countertops. It is a beautiful stone that adds elegance to any kitchen. It is not the most affordable material for a countertop but as granite becomes more widespread, the price starts to go down.
* Engineered Stone. This is composed of 93% quartz particles. Its nonporous surface is resistant to scratches so it's easy to maintain.
* Solid Surface. These are custom-made based on your specifications and because they are solid, scratches can be sanded out.
* Ceramic Tile. This material is durable, easy to clean, and inexpensive.
* Laminates. These are made of plastic-coated synthetics with a smooth surface that's easy to clean. The pieces are cut to size and finished on the ends.
* Wood or Butcher Block. This material adds a beautiful warm look to any kitchen. They are easy to clean, can be sanded and resealed as needed.
* Stainless Steel. This makes a kitchen look contemporary and industrial. They are heat resistant and durable.
* Soapstone Counters. These counters are often seen in historic homes. They are also used in modern homes as sink material.
* Marble. This is an expensive material so it is not usually used for whole kitchens. It easily stains that's why it requires constant maintenance.
* Concrete Counters. This is material also has a high price tag. They are cast right in the kitchen so it's easy to specify unusual shapes.
