How to clean your Computer

In the modern life computer is used frequently like our other house hold equipments and therefore, it should be cleaned on a regular basis like our other household equipments. But always make sure that you shut down the computer and switch off the power before starting any kind of cleaning. Here are some tips on how to clean your Computer monitor, Keyboard, CPU and Mouse.
Monitor Cleaning: To clean the monitor, it is best to use a soft, anti-static cloth and a specially formulated screen cleaner. Check your computer manual first to determine exactly what kind of screen you have, as many screen have an anti-glare coating, which can be damaged if you use a household cleaner. This is especially important in laptop computers. For anti-glare screen, it is better to just use a soft cloth dampened with plain water. At the end you should go over the screen with a dry cloth, to prevent watermarks and streaking. Do not spray any cleaning liquid directly on the computer; you should spray the liquid on to the cloth for cleaning. Commercial screen wipes especially designed for general computer cleaning can be a good alternative for it. If you are using these, always wipe your screen first and then the keyboard, the mouse and finally, the casing. Anti-static sprays are very accepted because these works on the principle that they leave a neutral charge after cleaning, so that there is no positive or negative charge to attract dust particles.
Keyboard Cleaning: To clean the keyboard, unplug the keyboard and turn the upside down and gently shake to loosen any debris such as grit, food crumbs and dust that may be trapped under the individual keys. If you have a can of compressed air, spray this between the keys or you can also use a vacuum cleaner, with specialized vacuum attachments for cleaning the small crevices.
Next, wipe the keyboard with a damp cloth and use a cotton swap between the keys. If you have stains on the keyboard, such as ink, try using a ball of cotton wool saturated with rubbing alcohol or a commercial alcohol wipe. For cleaning of drinks such as coffee simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
CPU Cleaning: Use a vacuum cleaner to clean all cooling slots of collected dust. Do not use compressed air here as it can force large amounts of dust back inside the CPU. For the longevity of the CPU cooling is essential so keeping the vents clean is very important as it helps to maximize airflow for cooling. Wipe the outside casing with a soft cloth that has been dampened with plain water or with a specially formulated computer cleaning fluid. For inside the casing, use compressed air only as any slight mistake with the vacuum or a brush or cloth can cause serious, permanent damage to the processor. One more important thing to remember is to check the warranty card before starting to apart your CPU.
. Mouse Cleaning: You can clean inside the mouse by removing the ball, and removing the dust, fluff stray food, hairs, etc. from around the rollers. This has to be scraped out - do not get the mouse wet.
