Know Your Boundaries: Overstepping Leads to Financial WoesSubmitted by 10xseo@gmail.com Mon, 20 Jul 2009
When you decide to build on your property, have you taken in to account where you can actually build? A property survey enables the outline of boundaries between your property and you neighbors. If you were to impede your structure upon your neighbor's property, it's possible to sue you for damages and ultimately relieve the structure from their premises. You need to find a surveying companybefore you decide to make any changes at all or suffer the consequences of your bliss.
Land and property survey have existed longer than you or I could imagine. Boundaries exist because we are individual's and there are personal items that we wish to remain hidden from others. It's important to understand the psychology of people before you exclaim that a property survey is unnecessary. Individuality is an animalistic behavior. You're guarding your territory because you feel people will not understand the way you live. This is completely fine, and the reason you need not impede on their property. Over the centuries, survey has helped build the pyramids, all the way to the empire state building. These landmarks wouldn't be here today if not for the practice of surveying. Not only are the boundaries measured, but the foundation for building are also tested. For instance, if the soil can handle the weight of the structure you intend to build. There can be pockets of air underneath the soil that will collapse if you start building beneath it. Many other issues like this need to be taken into careful consideration. If the structure collapses half way into building, there's a lot you will have to answer for. Not only will a property survey protect you from building onto the wrong side of the line, but it will also tell you if someone has built on your property. If they have, you are entitled to take action because they are building on property that isn't theirs. It is your right to pursue them since its property that you paid for, and their presence is unwelcome. If you do prepare for legal action against your neighbor, you can use the survey as evidence. When you decide to build on your property make sure you take all the necessary steps to protect yourself. If you have already built on your property and are now thinking twice about whether you have build on your neighbor's property, it's good to catch it before they do. If you find during the survey that someone else has built on your property, don't hesitate to claim what is rightfully yours. Every hard earned cent that you have made has gone into your home and its surrounding area. Protect your investment because the people around you are likely to do the same.
