Phoenix Carpet Cleaning – How to Keep Your Carpet CleanSubmitted by mortimer33
Taking good care of your carpet extends its life and means that you will have a clean looking carpet for longer. Unless you into the habit of taking off your shoes before you walk in the door, it’s not always easy to keep your carpet clean. If you have a look at the soles of your shoes you’ll notice that there can be anything ranging from sand, grit, mud to oil and grease. The sand and grit can work away at the carpet fibres causing wearing. The oil, mud and grease may stick to the carpet fibres and be very hard to remove.
Phoenix carpet cleaning recommends vacuuming the carpet regularly to remove the sand and grit. Care should be taking if you decide to wash the carpet using a shampoo because great care must be taken to ensure that all of the shampoo is removed from the carpet. If shampoo remains in the carpet it will bind itself to the carpet fibres making its hard to remove. The dried in shampoo will also attract sand and grit. Steam cleaners are quiet effective in cleaning carpets if there is little dirt on the carpet however Phoenix carpet cleaning believe another type of cleaner may be required if dirt is ground in and difficult to remove. Phoenix carpet cleaning uses a cleaning system called the Rotovac to mechanically scrub and clean the carpet. This provides better results and ultimately a cleaner carpet. Carpet stains can be next to near impossible to remove depending on the cause. Phoenix carpet cleaning recommends blotting the stain instead of rubbing it. You shouldn’t rub the stain, because this will spread the stain making it worse and it wear down the fibres in the carpet. Stains caused by red wine, can usually be removed at pouring red soda on the affected area. If this doesn’t work or you have other red color stains then try applying a 30/70 mix of a bleach and water. You must take care to apply only a small amount to an inconspicuous area first to see the effect. Once you’ve applied the mix to the carpet, leave it settle for about 30 minutes. You can then wipe the area with a mix of vinegar and water. Gum can be easily removed from carpet by freezing it. Phoenix carpet cleaning recommends placing an ice pack or some ice cubes over the gum to harden it. Once the gum has been frozen then it can be easilt taken off by chipping away at it. Any remaining stains left by the gum can be removed by cleaners such as DeSolvit. Remember to blot the stain instead of rubbing it. About the Author
