How does a pepper spray work?
Nowadays it really doesn't matter where you stay, there is always the need to stay protected. But, there are various ways wherein you can keep yourself resistant within this especially dangerous place. The only problem you'll probably have is selecting the right product from the various self-defense products on the market. The only product that will help protect you is a Mace pepper spray. I'm sure that plenty of you have known this kind of self-defense option, particularly since it is one of the chief products concerning protection for women; on the other hand, there are very few people who actually comprehend how pepper spray works and the various kinds of pepper spray products. Among the most famous forms include the police home pepper spray 4oz. This form of pepper spray is small and still packs quite a huge punch. Another pepper spray is the pen-like pepper spray. This might look like a regular fountain pen, but looks can be misleading. Underneath the lid is a nozzle which can shoot a half-a-second burst with a range of 6 to 8 feet. This kind of pepper spray has only ten shots. Another kind of pepper spray is the pepper spray in a canister. This traditional pepper spray is the most popular carry-on device for protection. One to two ounces of pepper spray can be spewed out by a single canister. You can shoot from twelve feet away from the target. It wouldn't be a pleasant thought when sprayed with a canister of pepper spray. So you may wonder what's in the pepper spray that makes it so unpleasant. It is the oleoresin capsicum found in pepper which makes pepper spray very unpleasant. The heat from the pepper spray is derived from this oil which is gauged in SHUs or Scoville Heat Units. The higher the SHU is, the more lethal the pepper spray becomes. In order to illustrate to you how efficient a pepper spray is, we'll compare it to the tremendously hot Habanero pepper. One Habanero pepper has a heat value of 325,000 Scoville Heat Units. There are around two million or 5 million Scoville Heat Units in other pepper sprays. Thus, now you know why pepper sprays are lethal weapons for self-defense. We live in a world which is very dangerous. Either it's for personal use or to add to your protection capability, it's you and your family's safety that needs your attention. Even though pepper sprays are either expensive or inexpensive, it's your life that is saved from an attacker. Take care of yourself and your family by having your own personal safety product like a security plus pepper spray. About the Author
