Which Shop Vac Filter Is The Best?

Submitted by tim98205

When it is time to replace the filter in your Shop Vac, the number of choices you will find can become confusing. Which filter is the best? Is it worth the extra price for the premium filter, or should you choose the standard one? Well, there is no easy answer to what Shop Vac filter is the best, because it all depends on how you use your Shop Vac.

If you typically use your Shop Vac for tough wet clean up jobs, you will obviously want a filter for wet pick-up. There are a few kinds, namely a foam sleeve or a wet/dry pick-up cartridge filter. If you are certain that you will not be using your Shop Vac for dry cleaning, stick with the foam sleeve. However, it can be convenient to have the ability to switch from wet to dry that you get with the wet/dry cartridge filter, if you don’t mind paying more.

However, if the main use of your Shop Vac is for dry cleaning, you should choose your new filter depending on what kind of dust and dirt you will pick up. For normal cleaning, a foam sleeve and reusable disk filter is ideal. However, if you are cleaning fine dust and powders, you should choose the Ultra-Web Cartridge Filter and disposable collection bags for optimum cleaning. Shop Vac also has a specialized filter for drywall dust. The Clean-Stream Cartridge Filter and Drywall disposable collection bags are ideal for that job so don’t be afraid to look at them today.
