Good Tips On Disciplining Your KidSubmitted by tonks21 Thu, 25 Jun 2009
One of the hardest things that we as parents should do is trying to discipline our kids. This is one thing that we wish we could avoid - but also the one thing that we recognize must be done. With no discipline our children will become spoiled and never listen to anybody. That is why you have to begin this when they are young.
Some people think that disciplining a child who is just one is too soon and a little unfair. They make the explanation that they do not understand what you are saying to them and so they cannot understand. What these people do not realize is that in order for the child to know what it entails you need to start utilizing them. Evidently putting them in a time out might not help because they do not understand and will not stay. That is why you have to begin with saying the word "no" or "stop". Be patient and work with them in a kind style. Tell them to stop and then keep them from what it is they are trying to do. It won't take them too long to learn what this implies. As they become older they need more disciplining then just simple words. They will seek to press their boundaries by acting like they do not hear you or know. You know different and to show them that those limits are not able to be pressed without outcomes you have to create penalties. If they do something wrong after just getting a warning remove their preferred toys, take their juice away, or set them too bed at an early hour. These will make a big impact on them and they will find out how much they don't desire this to happen a good deal. One of the better methods that you are able to utilize to penalize them with is the time out. Specify an area where they need to sit with their hands folded. Make sure they do not have toys and do not speak when in time out. It isn't a penalty that should be fun. About the Author
