A pretend kitchen teaches reasoning to children in many ways and some of those ways are more prominent than others. It is important, however, to keep in mind that every single way a play kitchen can teach a child reasoning is going to make an impact on their lives.

There are several ways that a kitchen set can really make a difference:

• By imitating you and with your guidance, the child learns how to do things in a certain order. They know they have to prepare their area, cook the food, serve it, wash the dishes, and put the dishes away. Doing those things out of that order would result in the process not working right.

There are times where you may not have a lot of space available for the pretend kitchen, but that's okay. The child can learn to maneuver around those obstacles as long as the obstacles are not so bad that injury could be caused to the child.
The child gains social skills that come from interacting with their toys and with other people that they serve "meals" to. They may even exercise manners and will use problem solving to make everything run smoothly.
Organizational skills are also taught for the fact that the child has to keep their play kitchen area organized. They can't let their dishes and other components get out of hand or they will lose things and not have what they need when they need it.

So yes, children do learn quite a bit from their pretend kitchen for the fact that it is an educational toy. Some parents may not view these kitchens as educational toys, but they are all that and then some because of the interactive play that the child is able to engage in.

And now that means you need to make your next toy buying move. Most children do have pretend kitchens when they are little. You probably had a pretend kitchen when you were little. You've probably never forgotten that kitchen and your child will never forget theirs for the remainder of their life. So make it a worthwhile investment and watch your child flourish.

A child learns different types of reasoning skills with a pretend kitchen, which is why a kitchen set is a very important investment for parents to make for their children's well-being.
