When it comes to parenting there are several things that we need to master that concerns our kids. It is our job to ensure that they listen to what we are saying, that they obey, that they learn about the world around them, and that they are incessantly safe. This is made more tricky when they are trying to challenge everything we say and do at each turn.

It is around the terrible twos that they become more determined then they ordinarily are and one of the many battles we should manage with is when and how to place them in bed. One of the easiest things you can do is to tuck them in, give them kisses, tell them how much you love them, and give them their preferred stuffed animal.

Still, this is not always going to work and for various youngsters they will dispute this till they don't have a voice to scream with. Each kid is distinct in what they will or will not reply to. Different parents will attempt to fight them on it and will repeatedly go into their room and set them on the bed until the child is bored. The parent might be doing this every night or they may have quick results.

Certain parents believe that it is easier to go in just one time and if that does not help then to allow them to cry it out. This will show the kid that they are rather serious and they may understand to go to bed when they are told. Before doing this ensure that your child is not scared in anyway. Offer them a nightlight and look for strange shadows that they might be seeing on the wall.

One of the worst things that you might do is to allow them to sleep wherever they want to. Some parents will permit them to sleep with them in their bed or on the sofa. As long as the kid go to sleep so they are able to sleep they are just fine. But when they seek to eventually put them to sleep in their own room they will have a difficult time. This will only increase the bedtime battle and make things much harder on you the parent.
