In Quest of a Puppy

Submitted by Sam Allcock

Since the dawn of civilization, dogs have earned the unique nickname, "man's best friend". Over the centuries, people get puppy, buy pet, or buy dogs as they have lived and worked with humans in various roles. They have been bred for herding livestock, hunting (e.g. pointers and hounds), and rodent control, guarding, helping fishermen with nets, and pulling loads, in addition to their roles as companions.
A dog can identify a sound's location much faster than a human can, as well as hear sounds at four times the distance. One can find puppy learning behaviors quickly by following examples set by experienced dogs. This form of intelligence is not peculiar to those tasks dogs have been bred to perform, but can be generalized to myriad abstract problems. The particular pet has a predisposition to exhibit a social intelligence that is uncommon in the animal world.
An owner automatically bonds with his pet as this unconditionally loving creature gets used to its surroundings known as home, becomes familiar to its owner's voice and tone. The pet is capable of learning in a number of ways, such as through simple reinforcement (e.g. classical or operant conditioning) and by observation. Often people sell pet or sell puppy that have been selectively bred for various behaviors, sensory capabilities, and physical attributes.
In modern world, people try to get a puppy or find a pet that shows more variation in size, appearance, and behavior than any other domestic animal. In some cultures, particularly in the Western World (City Walks With Dogs: New York, -Nadia Zonis, 2009), people find pet, buy pet, or get a pet as gift because they are widely considered as adorable and cute, especially by children. This perception leads to some individuals to sell pet or sell dogs. People often get a puppy as a gift and later surrender it to shelters, often when it becomes apparent the pet requires more care than the person is willing to provide. A common solution to this problem, often advocated by pet lovers and responsible breeders, is not to buy puppy as a gift for other, but instead, decide as a family, a couple or as the buyer and future owner (with everyone who will be involved in the care of the puppy) if a person find a pet, find a puppy or search puppy to buy then it should be purchased matching what breed, gender, size and what other determining qualities would be the best. A holiday or birthday can be a great time to buy puppy supplies such as leashes, dog dishes, and collars.
At times people find pet disturbing. There are many lovely spots in the city that are entirely off limits to dogs. Dogs are not allowed in state parks, they're allowed on paths but not on lawns. However, in pet match park dogs are not off limit. Pet match park is a place where people can easily search puppy, find puppy, find a pet, buy pet, buy puppy, buy dog, sell pet, sell puppy, sell dog, get a pet or get a puppy by simply clicking on to www.petmatchpark.com.
