Baby clothing gifts for any occasion

Anyone shopping for a birthday, Christmas, baptism or any other type of infant gift has probably toyed with the idea of buying clothes. They are practical, come in various price ranges and are always appreciated by the child's parents.

It is no wonder that an adorable outfit is more valued than a run-of-the-mill toy, or a simple box of nappies/diapers, which can be picked up in five minutes on the way to the party. The thoughtfulness and time spent picking out the perfect playtime ensemble will always be appreciated, especially if you know the parent's clothing style and what colours they prefer for their infant.

Bob the Builder sleepwear, printed motif T-Shirts, grey pinstripe suits, or adorable dresses can be nicely wrapped for any occasion. Hooded jackets too look pretty in a fancy box decorated on top with a ribbon, or meticulously wrapped in baby-print paper. Nevertheless, that does not make them stand out as much as a unique and colourful baby bouquet. Picture a handful of matching pants, singles, and short sleeve bodysuits lovingly rolled up and shaped into blooms. The compositions are arranged so nicely between artificial blossoms, you would think it was an actual flower arrangement, fit to be the centerpiece of any christening or baby shower.

Many grandparents like to spoil their grandchild during the year-end festivities. Having that adorable little one crawl around wearing a red cotton T-shirt, with a smiling reindeer cartoon on the front, makes Christmas even more festive. Add a terry fabric bib embroidered with the words "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" and you know Santa won't pass up this house!

Birthdays are always fun and even if mum and dad put a Charlie Caterpillar rocker, or a silver heart bracelet on the wish list, a few original outfits and a pair of new shoes will certainly never be ignored. Mix and match outfits are a big hit. If one Tee is dirty, mum can quickly put on another one without having to dig through drawers to find something else that will go with the pants and make their heartbreaker look clean and adorable again.

The biggest thrill of gifting is when the present comes as a total surprise. Pulling a small token of friendship or love out of your knapsack or purse may cheer up the parents, who had a few sleepless nights because junior was teething, or may show them that you are so proud their little princess just took her first wobbly steps alone.
Once your mind is set on certain baby clothes, check if all the items are child-safe. Babies are stronger than you think and have a few tricks up their sleeve when it comes to ripping off buttons, pompons, beads and other small decoration pieces. Especially when they are teething, they will grab everything they can chew on. Believe it; a quick inventory can prevent a big disaster.

Overall, buying little knitted beanies, velour booties, reversible outerwear, or an ivory silk flouncy skirt dress for an upcoming wedding is a lot of fun, any time of the year!
