Space Saving Activity Table

Submitted by Kindermark
Mon, 6 Jul 2009

How can a parent say no to that cute little face with the big bright smile on their child's face as they are holding a toy asking if they can have it? The parent, of course, can't say no to them. So the toy is bought, taken home, played with, and added to the growing collection of toys in the overflowing toy box. A parent can only hope that the toy their child has chosen is educational or will serve some purpose in their child's development. They also wonder where will this toy fit in their child's room, is there too much clutter in my home from the toys, and how will organization take place. A great solution for space saving in a kid's room is having a place to store the hundreds of toys they have and enjoy playing. A space saver solution is having an activity table to keep the toys in.

The reason for having an activity table for storing toys is multi faceted and has a lot of advantages to offer a parent and their child. The table serves many purposes such as storage, kid friendly furniture, and an educational toy as well. Activity tables come in different shapes, sizes, colors, and designs. Almost all tables have storage compartments to store toys or other materials such as crayons and coloring books. The table tops are designed with toys built onto them such as beaded wired roller coasters, sand, tracks, or have designs on them such as roads, cities, animal pictures, or colored blocks. The table tops can also be magnetic, be filled with sand or water, or act as a base for colored connecting blocks. Having a table with activities built on them that your child can play with could possibly make them ask less for other toys you have to buy at the toy store. The toys designed on the tables are educational and will benefit your child's development. Most tables have wire roller coaster designs on them with beads, and moving the beads around and creating color patterns improves motor skills. It creates an organized space and a place for your child to play.

Having a table with activities on them is not only great for your home, but it's also a great decorating choice for places with waiting rooms such as doctor or dentist's offices. It is a space saver with toys and a place for children to wait quietly for an appointment while having something to do.
