3 Key Components to a Successful Squeeze Page

Submitted by dreams2freedom

One of the biggest factors in determining your online success is your ability to build a permission-based opt in e-mail list. With out an e-mail list it is very hard to make a living in the information business. But, if you can build a profitable permission-based opt in e-mail list you are well on your way to success.

One of the best ways to build an opt in list is to use and drive traffic to a squeeze page. A squeeze page is simply a page that forces your visitor to either give you their name and e-mail address or leave.

In order to do this you want to give an ethical bribe to the visitor. You give them something of value in exchange for their information. In today's article I want to discuss three key components to building a successful squeeze page.

Headline

A good headline is vital in order to get the visitor to start reading your squeeze page. Without a great headline you are dead in the water. Headlines are what draw the reader in. If you slack on the headline you will be slacking on your conversions.

Optin Box

An optin box is what the visitor will put their name and e-mail address in. This box usually consists of three components. A name field, an e-mail field, and a submit button. There are many different components you can use with this optin box, but the most important is to make sure that the optin box is above the fold.

By above the fold I mean that you're optin box is visible without the visitor needing to scroll down the page. Having the optin box above the fold will greatly increase your conversion rates.

Layout

The layout of your page is extremely important when it comes to converting visitors into leads. You want to make sure that you have a very clean and crisp layout. You want to focus on one thing and one thing only, that is to get the lead. You do not want to add any external links that are not necessary. Other than the terms of service links and things of that nature you what nothing else.

The only options you want the visitor to have is to give you their name and e-mail address or leave. That may sound harsh, but it is the truth. The more options you give to your visitor the less leads you will gather with that squeeze page.
