The planning phase requires that you realize that you may not make as much money as you would like and as quickly as your like. Markets need to be researched, competitors need to be evaluated, and products need to be screened. There is a lot of planning involved just to introduce the product to your niche market. When business is good you will want to plan for the times when business is not so good. Whether it is loss in search rank position or poor ad placement you will experience good and bad days. So when business is good make a point to set some of your hard earned money aside for those rainy days. They will come so don’t spend it as it comes it. There will be plenty of time for that down the road. As your business grows and becomes more consistent you will experience more stability and sales.

The American dream, to get rich and get rich fast. Affiliate marketing can definitely do both of those for a person but chances are it is not going to happen for you, nor me, or 99% of the people starting an affiliate marketing endeavor. Making money online takes time and that is where patience comes in. The more patient you are the less discouraged you will be when you don’t experience the results you expected in your first 24 hours of business.

It is all about consistency, whether you simply want to make thousands of dollars a month or just a few hundred you need to remain consistent. As you test and research your results you need to consistently make changes until you see the results you anticipated. Remain consistent at building a quality website that offers useful content. Be consistent at search engine optimization and link building. Doing so could really pay off big, especially if you are able to rank high with the search engines.

Through planning, patience, and consistency you can have a successful affiliate marketing business. Put your misconceptions aside and go into this with both eyes open. Forget about the fancy cars and big homes, for now, and focus on providing the best service possible to your customer.
