Shopping ForumsSubmitted by netpicks Fri, 25 Apr 2008
Product reviews may be a good place to start when looking at buying products online, but online shopping forums might be a better choice. A shopping forum allows you the chance to post questions about a product and receive honest answers from users. In some cases you may find that the users have already posted information on things you are interested in purchasing. The problem that arises is simply finding the best shopping forums. To take away the guesswork, we’ve compiled a list of the top 5 online shopping forums:
The best online shopping forum for women’s clothes, is The Fashion Spot (http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums). Their shopping forum is divided into several categories and sub-categories, all with a fashion slant. They offer users the chance to post photographs of items they’re looking for, and to get suggestions on where to find it. In some cases you may find something you never even knew you wanted. Red Flag Deals (http://www.redflagdeals.com) is the best shopping forum for a mixture of great deals. On any given day you might find a posting for a Costco coupon next to a discussion on saving money when buying a new car overseas. There’s rarely any topic considered off limit and the users are extremely friendly. Once a deal expires, it moves into a separate section where users can continue discussing. Secret Deals Online (http://www.secretonlinedeals.com) is an online forum with a different slant. Instead of users registering and discussing one specific topic, shoppers have the chance to anonymously discuss deals and products. Secret Online Deals posts the best deals available from Amazon, with a short review and link to buy. Users can comment on the listing and give feedback or advice for shoppers considering the item. Deal of the Day (http://forums.dealoftheday.com) also has an excellent shopping forum. The Deal of the Day website offers several deals every day, ranging from discounted prices to free shipping from select stores. Their shopping forum includes a detailed listing of their deals, along with any expiration dates, and then allows registered users to post on the items. They also allow users to post any deals they might find, items they currently have available, and links to items they’re selling on ebay. Fat Wallet is another site dedicated to great deals that has its own shopping forum (http://www.fatwallet.com/forums). The Fat Wallet Forum is divided into categories such as travel deals, free items and product reviews. They also include a section for the hot deals of the day and a place for users to discuss previous deals. Users can contribute to existing topics or start their own discussion with what’s on their minds. There are a host of shopping forums online, and depending on your taste, there’s one for you. You can find shopping forums on clothing, accessories, video games, digital cameras, televisions; nearly everything you can think of. This list isn’t all inclusive, but it does give you a place to start, and shows the top 5 shopping forums on the web. About the Author
