How to build a targeted audience on MySpace?

Submitted by itschloe

It has a list of MySpace members with a link to their page and a link to add them as friends. You may also click the “Add All” at the bottom of the train page and it will add all people at once. This is definitely the fastest way to add many friends to your account.
Whoring…This sounds weird but hard to forget once you’ve heard it! This term is very famous in the MySpace communities. Whoring is a MySpace tool used by many MySpace members and marketers. What they do is that people will agree that they will post each other’s profiles in the bulletin in a certain niche. In this way, it will be seen by all their friends. And when they see good comments on a profile, there will be an “Add Friend” button in the message to give the user a choice to add them to their friend’s list.

Example:

Member A sends out a bulletin message to all his friends saying that Member B is a cool guy and should be added.

Then Member B does the same thing on their bulletin as agreed and then both members will increase their list.

This is a very good way to gain extra friends fast.
Using MySpace groups is another great way to get a targeted people or to know what is popular or what does people need. An important use of the Web or Internet today is that it gives us an up to date data and information on everything, with only click of a button. We can track new products, trends, news or even just a ‘buzz’ right after they appear and with accuracy. With the Internet, anything that is added to it will be accessed 24/24 for a long time.

The best thing about marketing on MySpace is that one do not have to go out and look for niches to target because MySpace has already categories made out for you.

Let’s say a group of 600 people loves vintage fashion and have already created their own MySpace group. Keep in mind that these groups are growing each day since new members joining in. Thus even the small niche groups are worth eyeing on because it might turn out to be the next big thing and is growing exponentially. If you can get into these groups before the hype, you might be a winner.

As this is taking place more often, MySpace member and some groups have realized to forbid ads or links to be placed or dropped in their forums. But never worry; there are still a lot where you can advertise. Just take time to read the rules and regulations before making any posts on the forums.

A best move would be to start your own group. Why is that? This is because if you are the group moderator you will be the ones making the rules. Another reason on becoming a moderator is that other members greatly value your advice, thinking that you are the expert and thus eliminates your possible competitors.
