Money never sleeps. By that, I mean even when you are sleeping after a hard day of work, people out there are still making money. In fact they are probably cashing in on the fact that you are sleeping, since they are being more productive than you. Whether they are advertising or revising their home business, it just brings them closer to higher profits; something you probably dream of by now.

You can write ten or twenty articles. You can submit your link to dozens of link directories. You can even run a classified ad for a while. And while those are all very beneficial to your home business, you can not expect those actions alone to be sufficient. If you decide to stop writing articles because you think twenty is enough, you are in for a serious wake up call. Over time, articles will gather dust and they will not be seen by as many people as they once did. So while you are taking a long break from article writing, your competitors are cranking out even more articles. Likewise, you can never submit your link to too many places, and a classified ad will only last for so long.

The key to it all is that you must do those kinds of actions consistently. In order to be successful you have to write articles, gain links and advertise on a regular basis; at least a few times a week, minimum. And by no means should you be limited to those actions. Take advantage of as many things as humanly possible for you in order to improve your home business in some way, shape, or form. There is nothing wrong with taking a break once in a while, since after all it is your home business and you can do with it what you please. However, you must be aware of the opportunity cost of taking a break and slowing down. You may very well fall behind your competitors, who have been getting more work done than you have.

Think about the world of home business as one big battle. It is ultimately every man for himself, and the person who comes out on top will make money. When you see a competitor doing a brilliant job, your only option is to work to surpass your competitor. And victory is often short lived as your competitor will work hard to surpass you in return. That being said, your only option is to be consistent with your actions at improving your home business in order to be successful. There is no way around it.
