For the benefit of those who haven’t a clue about getting started about Adsense, I’ve compiled it into 4 simple steps.

Step 1: Create simple web pages
For someone who has zero or minimal IT knowledge, I would suggest you start off by creating a blog. You can get a free blog at blogger.com. Blogger.com is the easiest and fastest way to getting started and getting your Adsense account approved.

Step 2: Show Ads on pages
Blogger itself allows easy integration of Adsense ads. Viewing webpages or blogs doesn’t usually cost the reader anything. Few sites can getaway these days with charging for access to their materials (unless you have very niche contents). One easy way to make money is by selling advertising slots. Google Adsense itself does all the hard work for you. All you got to do is add in your unique adsense code (generated from Adsense) and you get paid each time someone clicks on it.

Step 3: Driving traffic to your pages
The 3rd step of course would be to increase the number of visitors to your site. Just showing ads isn’t enough. In most cases, you only make money when someone clicks on one of your adsense ads. The formula is simple - Increase the number of visitors and you will eventually increase the number of clicks. This may sound simple but it is the hardest part to achieve.

Step 4: Keeping visitors
Making people come is not good enough. Think about what you can actually do to keep them. One simple way to achieve that is to consistently update your pages with new content. If people like what they are reading, they will come back for more. Simple as that.
