If you are one of the millions of people that are looking to make a living online, you may have thought about trying ppc search engine marketing. Before you get started, please remember the following:

1.Time - There is a learning curve involved regardless of the training you have received

2.Persistence - Let's be honest. PPC is frustrating as there are a large number of factors involved in creating successful campaigns. However, there are many benefits that you can reap by being persistent and never, ever giving up.

3.Experience - Time + Persistence = Experience. You will need to test many things to see what works for you in your market. Many of these things are only learned through trial and error. Once you get some experience, your success rate will increase drastically.

4.Money - You will need to spend some money getting the experience that you need to succeed in your PPC Search Engine endeavors and to overcome the learning curve. There really is no way around this, however, you will need to be smart and not waste money either.

Who May be Interested in PPC Search Engine Marketing:

1. Any online or offline Business with a website that wants more leads

2.Non-Profits, Charities, or Churches

3.People looking to promote affiliate products online (although this is getting harder by the day)

4.Anybody else that wants targeted traffic for any reason

Getting targeted traffic has never been easier, faster, or more expensive if done incorrectly. Since you are buying traffic from the search engines, you can literally get instant traffic to your website for any keyword phrase that you specify as long as you: pay the minimum amount required for that search phrase and follow the rules that the search engine has in their terms of service and elsewhere.

The main PPC Search engines that you will be buying traffic from are: Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Each of these has their own requirements as far as approving your ads and landing pages and their own distinct group of users. Google, having roughly 65% of the search market, will give you the most traffic, however, please bear in mind that advertising with Google is a serious pain if you don't know what you are doing so for this reason it might make sense to start advertising with either MSN or Yahoo to get your feet wet (if you are inexperienced) since they are more lax with their requirements.
