Save your newspaper bill and have nil stack

Submitted by Dalene

You are often sick of daily newspapers stack and towards the end of the month; you find no place for keeping the huge stack of newspapers. One way to reduce the newspaper bill is to read online news. This way your stack and newspaper bill both will be reduced now. Read online news on websites like CNN and BBC and get the important world updates now.

If you have free internet connection in your office, this would charge you no money and your newspaper bill would be saved now. The online news now offers the same news in a much better way. (No problem if you are a computer savvy). You can watch some good news channels if you think you can connect to the internet so often. The moment you reach your office, simply open your system and log on to some news website. Some newspapers also offer the online additions. If you have a subscription, you can read the old archives too. What advantages of online news you have over the manual ones? Saving paper stacks, space and cost? At least you have cut down one minor expense from your home budget.

The online media works in a much faster way. Some literature reviews suggest the less importance of offline media like paper based news and television news channels. Some surveys have pointed out the real difference between the two approaches. What ever the difference is, the target audience and age groups are different for online and offline news. Your grandma or some elder in the family doesn’t like to operate a computer and feels great to watch some news channel on a specific time. Can you force him to open an online news channel and start searching? (I think it will be a very difficult job). If she’s used to watching TV news channel for the last 15 years, you can’t make her read news via online news websites.

Whatever the case may be, if you are a new generation person, online news is no problem for you. (Think of generation X people and compare them with today’s work force). There’s a lot of difference in the work attitude of the 2 generations. If you don’t get time from your office work to read a news paper, you can read the same online version, after reaching your office. Keep working on your PC and keep looking at the online news. If you work for some journalism or information agency, then it’s important that you have important news updates on time. Open the online browser of CNN or BBC and enjoy the news updates. At least you will get some information from the online sources.

Your boss does the same. Can some one enter into your room and ask you to stop watching the online news? If you work in some stock exchange, then the second change of a stock’s quote is very vital for your job. You may need to open the market exchange rates and work on spot ones. The screen refreshes up after seconds and you must know about the stock prices.
