How to make Inbound links look natural?

Inbound link building is one of the cornerstones of SEO success. All major search engines, especially Google take in to account the number and quality of link pointing to a particular website in its search results ranking algorithm. Aware of this fact, SEO consultants in their zeal to acquire inbound links resort to black hat tactics and suffer Google penalty as a consequence.

Here are few ways how a link building company can acquire links which will look natural in Google's eyes.

Inbound links should have variety of anchor text: While targeting your main keyword is important, you should build inbound links with a variety of anchor text.

Acquire links from different C-class IPs: Links from sites on same C class I.P. may not have too much weightage therefore have your links coming from different C class I.P.s.

Inbound links from different section of the linking pages: Backlinks should come from different section/location of linking pages like content section, footer, navigation etc. A pattern like all link coming from footer of the site may sound of alarms. It is believed that Google doesn't value footer links much.

Acquire inbound link gradually: SEO consultants should acquire incoming links gradually over a period of time and not try to get hundreds of links immediately. It may raise a flag and Google can ban your site.

Acquire link with different PR values: Pages with backlinks should have varied Page rank so as not to raise Google's eyebrows.

Acquire links from reputed neighborhood: Avoid backlinks from adult, casino, pharmacy sites. Search Engines usually don't have a good opinion of theses kind of sites.

Inbound links from pages with related themes: Make sure links come from related pages.

Build inbound links to internal pages also: Inbound links to internal pages makes link building campaign look natural and also benefits the site overall.

Acquire permanent links: The age of inbound links is important. Try getting permanent links. If you are buying links, then buy links for a longer period of time.

Make paid links seem natural: While buying links avoid words like sponsors and advertisements which are telltale signs of paid links which Google prohibits. Google has specifically claimed that it prohibits buying and selling and selling of links. According to their blog, "Links that are purchased are great for advertising and traffic purposes, but aren't useful for PageRank calculations. Buying or selling links to manipulate results and deceive search engines violates our guidelines."

The links if you have paid for them should be embedded within the content and not very conspicuous enough to attract Google's attention.
