Make Your Link Request Impossible to be Turned Down

Submitted by Cristian

Creating quality one way links to your business site it has to be the most challenging task for an SEO novice. Although results vary greatly among SEOs, one thing is for sure: 1. it doesn't have to be always two ways for creating them in the first place and 2. it doesn't have to cost a lot to get them.

In all this uncertainty I'll draw some guiding lines to help you achieve better results in generating back links from related websites.

In building white-hat one way back links there is no room for spamming. And each link you get must be founded on a real human to human interaction with your counterpart.

And spam is easier to use than you might have though. A simple use of automated software that finds and generates auto link requests is all that it takes to turn you into a spammer. Still, these programs come in handy in the initial link researching faze.

Once the link host was targeted go ahead and contact the webmaster and most importantly give him enough reason why a link referencing your content would benefit his website and readership. Don't ever make such and approach without enforcing with sufficient arguments the "Why" factor.

People generally are not altruistic. If the "because" aspect isn't grounded enough they'll filter out your request.

Some self fabricated context to use at your first contact:

- asking for a feedback on your work;

- suggesting other valuable content sources besides yours;

- apply for a guest post;

- propose interviewing them on a rapid questions list supplied by you

-indicating broken links or 404 errors on their website;

-contribute with indication for building a more user friendly website.

Places to look for relevant websites to build a link on are forums, popular blogs and even offline events.

When initiating contact through email, don't use an email address with the same domain as the site requesting a link for.

High rated sites you've targeted are already overwhelmed by link proposals. To stand out from the crowd craft a professional initial contact email and focus on pointing out common interests for a future partnership, instead of just bluntly talking about how grateful you'll be for a link.

Once the dialog is opened, strive to keep it this way. Permanently ask questions and stay interested in their person. Whether or not they've accepted your proposal is irrelevant; if you find them to be a valuable candidate, keep in touch.

And if the email doesn't give a response pick up the phone.

The final part of this article presents additional tips on finding one way backlink sources. The content is published on the search engine optimization section of TrafficCpanel blog.
