SEO is dead? Good question!Submitted by gabandrei Fri, 17 Aug 2007
This is a good question, Jordan McCollum asked in her blog, trying to give us a new perspective on traditional SEO. Is it the traditional SEO dead?
I do not think so. Actually the modern search engine optimization is a combination between traditional SEO and SEM. Creating original content and update regularly, become an authority and promote your site on other sites and get links, and give links there all parts of classical SEO. More, some search engines still use the traditional meta tags in their algorithm. Yahoo for example. One of my friends told me few days ago that Google looses users lately, because finding good information about a topic, or finding business becomes very difficult. Too many blogs, images and bad quality sites (but good optimized) appears in top of the searches. So Yahoo gains a lot of users, and we know that Yahoo still uses the meta tags in its algorithm. Shall we eliminate them or optimize them? I suggest keeping the tags and optimizing as a solution - every small step made to reach the top is useful And linkbait - the magic word - of course it works. Linkbaiting existed for long time in different areas. The word has been used in SEO not for long time, but what we are trying to do in SEO? The same: we are trying to get people's attention. Knowing that the users search what they look for on search engines, we try to get search engines attention. A good content cannot be replaced by nothing. This is the starting point of any optimization. See more details at Search Engine Optimization Blog. About the AuthorSource: ArticleTrader.com ![]() Comments
