SEO or Search Engine Optimization is one of the most widely used form of internet marketing today in almost every country around the world. The reason behind its popularity is its personalized targeting method. SEO targets specific people by giving them what they want through the use of search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, MSN, and other search engines around the world. Unlike other forms of internet marketing methods such as online advertisements, SEO offers a more direct approach to the target market through keywords used by these markets to search the internet for information or services.

However, although SEO is a very effective method for internet marketing, there have been several issues pertaining to its use. According to SEO Philippines consultants, like all internet marketing strategies, SEO is also known for its malicious or unorthodox method of getting a high rank in every search engine used by surfers. These methods are commonly known in the market as the Black Hat SEO.

Two Types of SEO Strategies
Strategies used in SEO falls under two categories, the White Hat SEO and the Black Hat SEO. The White Hat is much more on the good site, hence the color white which in the movies symbolize the good guys which is synonymous to Black which symbolize the bad guys, hence the the name Black Hat SEO. White Hat SEO strategies conforms with search engine guidelines which tends to produce results that last a long time, whereas Black Hat anticipate that their sites may eventually be banned either temporarily or permanently once the search engines discover what they are doing.

Strategies Of Black Hat SEO
There have been many strategies used in Black Hat SEO, however, most of these have become ineffective due to search engines constantly changing their algorithm to handle these issues. According to SEO Philippines consultants, techniques which has been widely ineffective includes keyword stuffing, Meta Tag stuffing, link farms, and buying of expired domains. However, there are still some methods used in Black Hat SEO that are still effective today. These strategies include:

Blog Spamming or Spam in Blogs: This is the placing or solicitation of links randomly on other sites, placing a desired keyword into the hyperlinked text of the inbound link. Other than blogs, according to SEO Philippines consultants, websites that accept links from visitors are also popular targets of this method.
Cookie Stuffing: This involves placing an affiliate tracking cookie on a website visitor's computer without their knowledge, which will then generate revenue for the person doing the cookie stuffing.
Scraper Sites: Scraper sites, also known as Made for AdSense sites, are created using various programs designed to "scrape" search-engine results pages or other sources of content and create "content" for a website. Visit http://www.myoptimind.com for more info.
