Tips And Tricks To Improve Your Yahoo Store

Submitted by willard_7ph

Since Google became the Internet’s leading company, poor little Yahoo seems to have taken a backseat. But as an experienced online marketer having worked with several Yahoo Store owners, I know for a fact that a Yahoo Store is one of the best things that you can use if you want to be successful in selling a product online. This page gives you information about how to improve your business using Yahoo Store. Why keep paying to be in the top 10 when you can do it naturally?

The benefits of a Yahoo are obvious. Most importantly, they are reliable and you can be sure that they will be around either as Yahoo or as some other company that buys Yahoo, but your Store will always be supported. Not many products in the Internet age can boast that. You get a free domain name when you sign up for a Yahoo Store. That is a great advantage for you because Yahoo submits your store to the major search engines under that store name. Yahoo's package includes domain registration, Web hosting and a plethora of site building and analytics tools all in one place. It’s no surprise that Yahoo Merchant Solutions won the Small Business Computing reader's poll for best e-commerce platform.

Yahoo's e-commerce is one of the key factors in the yahoo store and is coded with a proprietary language called RTML, which outputs HTML. It will cost you about $40 per month for web site hosting in a standard yahoo store which will include email services, a complete shop cart system, an excellent order processing system and many more features. Granted, you can do this for lesser with other companies, but given the reliability and support that YStores offer, you will not regret your decision once your Store starts making some serious money. When that does happen, if you chose a cheap sleazy ecommerce platform, there will be no easy way to move back to Yahoo. Moving Ecommerce platforms for a live store is like pulling teeth – you don’t want to do that unless you really, really, really have to.

Here we have come up with some tips & tricks for Yahoo Store Owners on running their online stores.

•Analyze the top keyword phrase in relation to your top 10 competitors and add relevant keywords.

•Add anchor text to graphic images and of course all of a site's images, that allow a search engine spider to better "read" the graphic images.

•The more relevant a page's Meta tags and Meta keywords, the more they boost that page's ranking when it's crawled by search engines.

•Evaluate top 3 phrases and incorporate into your web site text to correlate to search terms.

•Add "bread crumb" links to the top of each page to improve the Yahoo template's navigation. These links tell a user exactly where they are in relation to the overall site.

•Add Google XML site map from your Site and verify data with Google Site map program.

•Fly out menus can be designed to show second or even third level site navigation.

•Analyze your top search phrase within Google trends and see if the public feels one is stronger than another.

•Yahoo's default "add to cart" button uses an HTML element that's not too eye catching change it accordingly.

•Allow customers to click to enlarge a product image which is an essential sales technique.

•Compare overall rankings in Google, Yahoo, Msn and figure out through detailed analysis of where you and your competitors rank.

•Place Related links to related products near each product.
