What is Anchor Text Optimization?

Anchor text optimization consists of the visible hyperlinked text on a webpage (e.g. in your article). Here's an example of anchor text optimization: Articles for Ezines. Writing article summaries to promote a website and or products is not new but is a very, very powerful and extremely affective strategy that is widely being used religiously among the best webmasters today with amazing success. Learning to use anchor text optimized article summaries to promote a website or to get traffic to a product or service is can be rewarding beyond your imagination. Getting your link listed varies between directories as each has their own different process. Some directories require a fee but most do not. A lot of directories offer a mixture between free and paid listing. When you pay to get your link listed in a directory it is normally added within a week and it is guaranteed to be added. On the flipside a directory offer a free listing can take anywhere from a week to several months to add your link, and also there is no guarantee that the link will be added.

The next step is to right the article. The title should be related to the best of your key phrases. This article must also be written with at least 250 words. The more words written, the more key phrases in the article, the better chance it will be found in search engines.

Better indexing – Many times, websites have a very complex structure, wherein pages are kept deep inside various sections. These pages, though not easily reachable for a user or search engine, can be comfortably indexed using an appropriate link building campaign. Pages that may take months together to get indexed naturally on a search engine database can actually be scrolled in a few weeks in this process. Also, the search engine may get through the other pages of your website that are linked to these hitherto 'inaccessible' internal pages.

Google's Webmaster Tools facilitate this optimization by letting website owners view the most common words in anchor text linking to their site. The inclusion of important keywords in the anchor text can make a big difference in the final ranking of your site pages. In fact Google even has a special operator: allinanchor:keyword', which picks up text only from within the anchor text of indexed pages. Google/Yahoo bombing is the practice of placing terms you want a given page to rank for in anchor text that links to that page.
