Write an Article

We get a lot of questions from our website visitors and others who want to improve their search engine rankings and sales conversions, but have no idea what to do about it. It's a difficult question to answer, because the truth is, there are a lot of things you should be doing to improve these things that will take a lot more time than I have here. So I'm going to focus on just one aspect of search engine optimization.

Right now, I'm going to talk about writing articles. Writing articles is one of the best ways to get your website noticed. If you don't believe me, take a look around the internet some time, and you'll find articles posted everywhere. Maybe you didn't realize that they were meant to help someone improve their search engine rankings and get more visitors, but that's exactly what they're there for. Just like this article that you're reading right now.

There are two reasons why an article will help your business. First of all, it will create a lot of inbound links to your website from the various sites that are displaying your article for you. This will get some people clicking through to your site, which I'm sure you want, and it will also improve your search engine rankings, because search engines love inbound links.

Secondly, an article shows that you know something about the subject that your website covers and establishes some credibility. You do know something about what your website covers, don't you? You need to if you expect anyone to take you seriously. Credibility is a big thing on the internet these days, since it's so impersonal most of the time, and since there are so many scams everywhere. Establishing some credibility with your visitors will vastly improve your website conversions.

Now I don't want you to get worried. You don't have to write much more that a few paragraphs on the subject. About one page worth of information. Maybe a little more if you like. And the information should already be at your disposal because, as we already discussed, you're an expert in the field.

So it should be easier to write than you think. Then you can go online and search for some websites that'll display your article for you. Look for ones that are in your field, and look for some more general ones. Stay away from ones that are specific to completely different fields, though. Those will hurt your rankings more than help. Plus it just won't make any sense for you to put your article there - no one will be interested.

There are many other places you can go to submit articles. A little bit of research in the search engines will find you a great many websites that will post your article for you. Most of them will be free.

If you do this regularly, every few months, you should get more visitors to your website and better search engine rankings pretty quickly. Don't expect an overnight miracle - there aren't any in search engine optimization - slow and steady wins the race.
