How to bring traffic to your websiteSubmitted by farouk Mon, 27 Jul 2009
Why do you give non working advices?
If this is not the first article you read about bringing traffic to your website then most probably you have been told more than 10 times before that you should make comments on blog posts, that you should write great content and that you should submit your website to directories. Unfortunately the articles you read were written by people who never managed to get real traffic to their site because if they really knew how to get traffic to a site they wouldn't have written such advices. Those people just copied the same advices from each other without even getting any results from using them. I want you to go now to submit your website to 1000 directory and to comment on 500 blogs and see if you will get any real traffic. Simply these advices are nonsense and they never work. How to bring traffic to your website? (What really Matters) RSS feed and newsletters are only going to bring you traffic if your website has already got some visitors but before that stage who is going to subscribe? no one!! . Social bookmarking and social networking are fine but for me they never brought me more than 10% of my site's traffic. If you want real traffic then you must start by bringing organic traffic (traffic derived from search engines). I am not claiming that this is the only method that works but at least it's a guaranteed method because I am writing about what I managed to do and I am not copying advices from others. The second step is to make sure that your site is impressive enough to catch the attention of those who arrive through search engines; else your traffic won't be sustained. After you start getting some good traffic you can then depend on RSS and newsletters to maintain your visitors. How to make my website impressive? Talking is easy but is there a certain way that can make your website become impressive? Yes there are two good ways to do so, the first is to claim that you are an expert in the subject you are writing about (of course without lying) and the second is claiming that you have better information than other websites. ( again you should never lie, else people will discover it sooner or later and abandon your website). In short, bring organic traffic to your site, impress your visitors then use other traffic bringing methods later on when your site's initial launch is completed.
