Major Brochure Sizes

Submitted by janicejenkins

Did you know that you can adjust the size of your brochure printing process? Many people who print brochures are now resorting to different custom brochure sizes to make their brochures appear different and more distinct. In fact each distinct size range of brochures can be aimed for specific kinds of roles. Here are four of the major different brochure sizes.

Large scale brochures: First, we have the big large scale brochures. These kinds of brochures can measure up to 12 by 12 inches or even more if it is custom made. Typically, this kind of sheer size is used by businesses or projects that need to display a large sized and amounts of information. For example, it can be something like a brochure map of a compound or a theme park. Also it can be something that is made for a big advertising campaign that needs large scale impact. People can get the brochure in the mail and be amazed at the largeness of the brochures when unfolded. So basically if you need to add in a large type of content for a brochure, or you need a big impact large sized brochures are the best thing to use.

Standard rack brochures: A lower notch from large scale brochures is your standard rack brochures. This is your standard brochure size. Standard brochures can measure up to 8.5 by 11 inches (letter sized) when fully unfolded to anything a few inches above or below this kind of dimension. These are of course the normal brochures that we see in racks, counters and other common or public places. It can be adapted for many kinds of uses like product catalog brochures, service pamphlets, information brochures, training manuals, tutorials and form brochures. They can even be used for public relations as a way to communicate a company's corporate philosophy. So for your usual business and project brochures, standard brochure sizes are the way to go.

Small mini-mobile brochures: Below standard brochures are the smaller mobile brochures. This can measure somewhere around 4 by 6 inches or even smaller. Brochures like this are almost like fliers in their own right, but they are still printed in high quality prints unlike fliers. They are usually used for small promotions of events or products which can distributed by hand or by including them in various packages. If you need cheap but high quality hand to hand promotions, mini brochures are the ones usually used.

Non-standard shapes and sizes: Finally we have the non-standard shapes and sizes. This can be anything that can be conjured up by the imagination and the only limitation really is the size and ability of the actual printing machine. Printing in non-standard dimensions is typically more expensive, and it takes a special kind of project to feasibly use this style. As long as you think you can benefit from printing in a custom size and shape then this kind of brochure printing should be okay for you.

That should be what you need to know for the different brochure sizes. You should now have a good idea of what you brochure size you need to use for your own goals.
