When you are new to newsletter printing, one of the first questions that may have come into your mind is what software to use. With all the new types of applications out there, newsletter printing seems not as simple as most people once thought it to be. Do not fret however, since this article will guide you on the best and not so best applications that you can use when you print newsletters. With a little luck, this should aid you in getting started in printing your color newsletters.

Common word processing software: Good
The easiest, simplest and most convenient application that you can use for newsletter printing are word processing applications. While they are usually not typically tasked or designed for newsletter printing, most word processing applications have built in features which can make it easier for people to create newsletters in them. Since most people are already familiar with using these applications, the learning curve is not very steep and most of you should have no trouble in shifting from printing typical paper work towards newsletters. If you are basically a raw recruit in newsletter printing, you may want to start using this type of software first. Microsoft Word is a good example of a word processing application that you can use.

Professional Publishing tools: Best
Now, the best and most appropriate software that you can use for newsletter printing are the professional publishing tools. These kinds of tools are typically suited to the demands of printing. They usually have pre-set options and specifically designed features for the production of books, newspapers, magazines and of course newsletters as well. They typically have excellent abilities in image and text manipulation that are crucial in designing newsletters fast. Common examples of these tools include Microsoft Publisher and Adobe page maker. If you have a little bit more money in spending for the software and you want a truly easy time in designing your newsletter, these applications are the options that you can choose.

Design applications: Fair
Finally we have design applications or graphic editing software. While you can use these types of applications in a myriad of ways, using them for newsletter printing is fair at best. You can still of course form columns, add images and set your margins, but it will all eventually get saved in an image format. This is very ineffective in terms of newsletter printing since images are harder to edit than text. So use design applications only if you really want to customize the look and feel of your newsletters to exacting detail. Otherwise, you may be better off using the other applications suggested above.

Hopefully that enlightens you on the proper applications that you can use for newsletter printing. It is not as hard as it sounds. As long as you are aware of your abilities and limitations you should have no problems in picking the right software for your newsletter printing.
