“3 Steps to Converting Website Visitors into Paying Customers”

TRAFFIC: Of course the only way to get customers to buy anything off of your website is to get the customer there to begin with, now; there are many ways to advertise your website to gain traffic (just do a search and 1000's will come up) but for starters I would like to talk about Opt in list building for our first step. The basics to getting a visitor to opt in to your mailing list is as simple as putting a form on your website with an offer for something free that asks for the visitors name and email address to send them this great stuff, this can be done by: Outsourcing - use a list building server such as Aweber or GetResponse. Not only will these type companies offer list hosting and building but they also offer what is called an autoresponder service, this is a way that once a person opts into your list an automatic email which you design automatically gets emailed out to your potential customer, and; if you would like, the autoresponder will also follow up with your prospects and invite them to visit your site again or purchase from you. There is a monthly fee to use these type services but the ability to create opt in lists and autoresponders on the fly is a great tool of the trade. HTML - (form post) if you know html then you can place a form on your website that captures your potential customers information and emails that information to you so you can build a list without having an outside source and additional expenses or you can build a form for free at Jotform. With this list you are able to create sales letters and notify your list of any new projects you are working on. TIP: (keep your form simple only ask for name and email or phone number) you can always gather additional information once your customer orders something from you. 2. WEBPAGE CONTENT: Create great Headlines and Content for your webpage that gets the attention of your reader immediately and makes your prospect want to read further. Offer free reports or free software or even a free monthly newsletter. If you look thru sales pages of any of the top marketers you will see approximately the same format being used to capture your attention and guide your feelings to want to opt in or purchase your product. Research these sites and you will find they all have these same traits (i.e. Headline, Sub-headline, Story, product, what the product will do for you, testimonials, bonuses and a fear of loss close. Example: Headline - "3 Hours to a Residual Income" Sub Headline - The 5 steps you must take! Story - a long time ago when I first started out... I was broke and needed to find a way... I woke up this morning and it hit me... In the world of marketing it is said that a person must view your offer approx. 9 times before deciding if they want your product, so the more you can get your visitors back to your site and or view your offer the better. Use one of the techniques above to try and influence the buying patterns of your customers. The more you offer your customers the easier the sale will be and the Fear of loss should get them to buy now.
