Some have been led to believe that Search Engine Optimization or SEO is the hardest task in any Internet marketing strategies. This is certainly not true. SEO may involve a lot of work and processes and may take a lot of time before you could see some result, but the most important among all these is research. Learning about the things that could hurt an SEO campaign could save a lot of time and money.
Search engines have become a lot smarter since the foundation of SEO. Back in the old days when SEO is just starting out, there came a time that it was acceptable to stuff hundreds upon hundreds of keywords in a single meta tag or page copy so as to rank higher on any search engine. This was okay... then. But today, search engines like Google penalize sites that do things this way.

SEO strategies, such as link exchange or reciprocal link, are slowly starting to vanish from an optimizer’s arsenal of SEO tactics. Since search engines became aware that this strategy is being over used, search engines increased their capabilities to detect it. Some evidences have pointed out that search engines are giving more attention to one-way links such as those from paid directories or links from articles. Visit an SEO Philippines site to learn about one-way links.

More recently is the use of “no-follow” tags in blog comments. Optimizers who used to build links through blog comments now find that those links are no longer followed or counted by the search engines as blog authors consider these as comment spamming.
Search engines have also developed a technology that detects the speed in which a website acquires links. If a site has recently been launched and suddenly showed a large number of high pageranked pages pointing to it, then the search engine will presume that this site has heavily relied on link buying or link renting. This’ll cause the search engine to not take full credit of those links.
Researching about these things could provide considerable help in an SEO campaign as it saves more time in finding out that the strategies used aren’t helping a site. Check out an SEO Philippines site to have a look on how an SEO campaign is processed and maintained.
Researching about the new trends and strategies in SEO is very important for the success of an SEO campaign. Among these strategies include:
*

Getting a significant amount of inbound links from quality pages related to your site's topic.
*

Blogging or creating lot of content-rich blogs on wordpress, blogspot, blogflux, hubpages are among latest trends and it has really proved effective in improving search engine rankings.
*

Social bookmarking. There are hundreds of social media sites that allow dofollow backlinks; improving your link popularity as well as receiving some quality traffic.
*

And article marketing.
Though these strategies have been around for quite some time now, and that some of these are among the basics of SEO, these strategies have proved its usefulness over and over again in SEO campaigns optimizers have come across with. If you want more information about SEO, then visit an SEO Philippines site or visit Optimind Technology Solutions at www.myoptimind.com to learn more about SEO.
