Avoiding the horrors: What your website should not look like

Submitted by crestmediainc

The life of an online business is dependent on the website. Entrusting the design of your website to a firm, like los angeles web design, involves great precaution. If you are not familiar with how a good web design looks like, giving close attention to the basic details counts. It is most advisable that you begin looking at a firm's portfolio first before engaging in a contract. Make sure that what it offers does not include any of the following horrors.

Pretentious
Websites that contain such design scream "Take me seriously!" with their black background and white or light colored text. What's wrong with this kind of website is, aside from looking dull and all too serious, it requires too much ink for it to be printed out. This could be a problem for anyone interested in your business.

Eye sore
If you think the previous Los Angeles web design is boring, then this one with black background and dark text guarantees to annoy your clients. The main problem with such websites is that customers will have a hard time reading its contents having to highlight the text first for it to be visible.

Very busy
Nobody wants too read text on a very busy background. The most common indicator of a busy background is a tiled image. Two things that make this unadvisable are: they eat up download time, and their importance to the website isn't recognizable.

Centered
A professional web designer knows for a fact the keeping everything at the center of the page is boring to read. If your website looks like this, the first thing that the customer will think is that you do not put much importance to your website that keeping everything at the center is the most you can do to design it. Hence, they won't take your business seriously as well.

One too many
The main purpose of creating headlines and putting in strong, bold or italicized fonts is for you to emphasize what's important in a text or in the website. If there are too many of them, then the purpose is never met.

In sum, the best way to avoid these mistakes is to find a Los Angeles web design company which has extensive experience in the business.
