How to make print fashion sheets enhanced?

There are still many people that prefer reading print to reading on the display of the LCD screen. For these people the print style sheets need to be optimized. Some of the intelligent ways to create print style sheets that are better than most other print style sheets are as follows.

•Getting rid of Navigation
There is no use of printing the navigation bar on the paper. On the contrary if the navigation bar is printed on the paper it utilizes the space that could be used for printing the information. So it is better to get rid of the navigation bars and the sidebars.

•Optimizing the Area of Content
If you want to optimize the area of content after getting rid of the navigation bars and sidebars, you need to get the float reset, get the margins (if any) removed and the width set to 100%. When the area of content is optimized this way, more information can be accommodated on the paper.

•Colors in the background
Taking things for granted can at times prove risky and lead to waste of resources. The background is not always white as is presumed by many. Select the whole content and set the background to white and transparent. This will ensure that the black ink is not used unnecessarily.

•Color of the text
The color of the text is not always black. It can at times be gray and even white. When the background is set at white and transparent, the text in gray becomes difficult to read whereas the text in white becomes invisible. So the next step is to set the color of the text at black or dark gray. You need to make sure that the text is visible.

•The font - size and type
After the color of the text and background has been set the next step could be setting the size of the font. This depends on the eyesight of the reader. Usually 12 is the most preferred size of the font. If the reader wants more text on the page he/she can opt for size 10 and if he/she is uncomfortable at size 12, he/she can set it to size 14 too. Serif fonts being less stressful for the eyes are usually the most preferred font.

•Making the Links Alive
Once on print the link becomes dead because the print media is not interactive as in the computer. The link can be brought to life by inserting the matter of link destination in small size font or using italics. When opting for print style sheets one should also remember that the links when mentioned in print should stand different from the rest of the content. This can be done by changing the font or making it bold, underlining it or using italics.

•Comments and unwanted text
Get rid of the comments and the text that you do not want to read.

•Preview
Before executing the print command always preview it to see how it looks when you get the matter printed on paper.
