Joomla Web Design Saves Time

Submitted by temerity

If you run a business, you need a website. In this day and age, it's as simple as that. More and more customers are turning to the internet to find out information about companies. If you do not have a website, your business loses credibility and thus potential cients.

But the standard of your website also says a lot about your business. If your website has missing links or images, spelling mistakes, or generally a poor design, people will be turned off by this. These days a website basically the shop front to your business, and a reflection of what you're about. SO if your site isn't good, people will assume your services aren't either!

This makes your web design crucial to the success of your business. Such a necessity creates another potential problem though. How can I get a website designed for my business when I don't have much to spend? This is a widespread issue for a number of small businesses, who have quality products and services but lack the cash flow and budget to invest thousands of dollars to get a website built.

So what can they do? One solution is to employ the services of a budget web designer. But this is not really a solution as you will more than likely end up with a website that is cheap and nasty, in both price and looks. Another option is to set up a DIY website that you can update and maintain yourself. Open source content management systems are becoming more and more common, and user friendly. They allow business owners to login to the back end and make changes to content on the various pages of the site.

One such content management system, or CMS for short, is Joomla. This is a very reliable product and you can get
a very professional and attract design within their framework. Even if you don't have time to learn joomla web design from scratch, you can hire a designer to do the initial design and installation and then just make updates yourself. This will still reduce your web development costs drastically, as Joomla is very straight forward and quick to set up.

Joomla is also great for adding on extra features to your website at any point in time. So if you need to add a
contact form, poll, product catalogue, blog, photo gallery, shopping cart, audio player or a number of other things, you can do so quickly and conveniently. This is important for small businesses as it allows their site to grow as they do.

If you aren't aware of the importance of having a website, you are falling behind the pack. Knowing the value of
having your own business website will ensure that you invest the necessary budget to give your company a solid online presence. Having a website also opens you up to a whole new world of clients, those who use search engines to find products and services. This pool of potential clientele is huge and taking money from your old school marketing budget is a worthwhile investment. And if your funds are really low, look to Joomla web design for a low cost but effective solution.
