We see advertisements everywhere on the internet. When you open your browser and go to any free to use website, you'll see advertisements posted all over its page. Most of those advertisements are categorized under PPC Ads and this is one of the reasons why blogs and other free website are surviving in a supposedly dog-eat-dog environment (the Internet).

Before anything else, what exactly is a PPC ad? PPC or pay per click internet advertising are ads used on search engines, advertising networks, and content sites, such as blogs, in which advertisers pay their host only when their ad is clicked. This brilliant idea works hand in hand with blogs which save advertisers good money and gives bloggers and other websites a source of income without charging their viewers a single cent for their content. Basically, blogs are considered as the fastest growing type of website around, every social network has it in their repertoire and almost everyone of them are fueled by pay per click internet advertising.

Imagine if you are a blogger or a website owner and you earn 1 cent for every click on an advertisement and you have a daily visitor count of a thousand people, if ten percent of those visitors clicked on a PPC ad in your website then you have 1 dollar a day without doing anything. Remember, this is just a rough example and rates vary, so if you have visitors then you could be looking at bigger numbers than a mere dollar. Now, if you're the advertiser and you pay a thousand dollars to post and advertisement on a website and you convert your campaign to a pay per click scheme then you're looking at more website, more exposure at a lesser expense.

Come to think of it, companies can save more on advertisements if they do the pay per click scheme since even if a visitor doesn't click on the advertisement, once they see the ad it creates an awareness for their website or product, in short this creates free exposure that's readily provided by millions of blog and website owners worldwide.
