The four signs of an upsetting website

Submitted by crestmediainc

Online business is not only trendy but also ideal. But, before you even fantasize about the money you can make out of it, one of the basic facts you have to be serious about is on how to come up with a website. Any online business will not survive without a good website, and doing it yourself takes time and expertise. So the first thing to accomplish is to have professionals, like the San Diego web design firm, do it for you.

However, there aren't a lot of San Diego web design firms that have good portfolios. In fact, looking at the portfolio is one way to discern whether a firm is living up to the expertise it boasts. When you look into the portfolio, be sure that they do not contain the four signs of an upsetting website.

The blinking effect
Some people find this attractive but they take up a small potion of the entire population of internet junkies. In fact, many find blinking things on a website rather annoying. First of all, if let your text blink, it does gather attention, but doesn't really sustain the interest of a reader. Other than being annoying in the long run, a blinking text is not at all legible. So madden your reader, avoid putting things that blink.

The cuteness effect
If you want to be cute on your website by incorporating a joke, then make sure that you don't need to explain why you think it's cute. It's always safe to say consider that people who are serious in their web activities don't have the time to joke around. Or if you just can't resist putting something cute in your website, then make sure that it's not only you who thinks it's cute.

Image overload
There is a reason why images are essential in a website. They are a great way to explain something and they add to the aesthetic sense of a page. Images include icons and too many of these things distract your readers. Three icons are already too many.

The links list
If you have to create a links list then do it in style. Plainly making a list is nothing but boring, add to that direct links written in URL. A links list must be accompanied by an explanation as to why you want your readers to follow a link.

When it comes to San Diego web design, you have to keep in mind that the simplest designs are usually the best.
