There are two types of web users the web searchers and web browsers and you ask "what's the difference?" Technically, if there's no simple logical structure to follow, searchers will often head straight for a search form when they visit a new Web site. They expect the site's search engine to help them find exactly what they are looking for with minimum waste of time and effort. Browsers usually browse the contents of a site using the links available. When users browse, they usually aren't looking for anything specific, but are open to something that catches their interest.

According to an Orange County web design firm, Crest Media Inc., It's true that there are two types of web users but there's only one of your website so it's important that you make your website appealing to both types. You can compare your website and web user to a mall setting with shops and shoppers, some shopper go to the mall to buy a specific item while other are just looking around, the mall personnel who point this people to the right places are the search engines, and your shop is the destination, you need to sell to these two kinds of people for your shop to survive, if not from direct sales then from recommendation from them.

In short, your website should be able to sell to people who know what they are looking for, you should be able to give them the information that they went to your website for without giving them a hard time, this means that they should easily find your content among the design or if not your navigation should lead them to it without much effort. As for the browsers, your website should be appealing in design and content so that if they don't know what their looking for you should at least tickle their interest enough for them to stay on your page. If you want to know more about appealing to these two kinds of web users, I suggest you visit this Orange County web design firm's previous works at www.crestmediainc.com and maybe you'll pick up a few pointers on how the professionals do it themselves.
