Web App Development Company As Compared To Freelancer

Submitted by spinxwebdesign

When you want to get a web app developed you have two options; avail the services of either a web app development company or a freelancer. Usually most of the people prefer to avail the services of the web application development company. Some of the most important factors that influence this preference are as follows.

• A company is a team of developers but a freelancer is a one man army. This basic difference affects all possible outcomes and its quality.

• When one person thinks there is a limitation to the extent of the thoughts so the creativity is limited. On the other hand when there is a team of experts the creativity increases because multiple brains work for the same cause.

• The technical expertise of a freelance is limited while in a company usually the technical expertise includes the latest technology too. The manpower deployed in the company is usually technically superior to that deployed by the freelancer.

• When it is a company, professionalism is supposed to be there. The companies know the ways to retain customer and the importance of customer satisfaction. On the other hand once the freelancer starts becoming popular, he/she starts taking as many projects as possible. This usually affects adversely the quality of the web application.

• A company usually makes it a point to complete the project within the stipulated time and keep to the commitment made to the client. On the other hand there are many freelancers that quote one or the other reason for not completing the project in time.

• When multiple brains work simultaneously on a project they happen to give importance to every aspect of the project. Their perception has a wide scope. This is not possible with the freelancer because of limited perception.

• When it is a team work, the company is better informed and updated with the latest trends and developments in virtual world of the internet. They can devote time for upgrading their technical skills too. On the other hand the freelancer has to just count on the knowledge that he/she achieved earlier because he/she usually gets no time to upgrade himself/herself.

• A company usually has an office and infrastructure. While a freelancer usually neither has any office nor any infrastructure to attend to the client. Who do you think is more reliable, one with a physical address or one without it? It is obvious that the company with the physical address should be more trustworthy.

• Quality testing is the last step of web application development. When a team of technocrats from a company tests the quality of the application, it should be near to perfection. Usually this is not possible in case of the freelance because he/she may most probably like to wind up the work very fast and rush through the quality checking process.
