Great web design is an art and occurs when design and content are seamless and you don't notice its greatness. With great web design, it's easy to find the information you need. The content makes you want to return again and again and, most importantly, great design gives credibility to the company/organization. This is how great web design is defined by "web pages that suck."

These are people who know what they're talking about because you really can appreciate the better websites when you're looking at poorly done websites all day. And making the better website falls on the hands of professional like the Orange County web design firm, Crest Media Inc. They do all the things that a web designer should and avoid all the unprofessional clutter that will just plain ruin a website.

If you visit both website you'll see what I mean, when the former say that they suck, trust them and spare yourself the pain of looking at those eye sore websites which defy every logical web design paradigm. According to this Orange County web design firm, here are some things that you should definitely avoid in making a website:

* Avoid putting too much images on your webpage, this not only increases the overall size of your webpage that makes it take longer to load, but it also drowns out the content.
* Putting up an animated talking animation to guide you through the site. People go to your site for content, they don't want strange people talking to you and telling you everything you can read faster that the animation can talk.
* Avoid confusing content. If your reader doesn't know what your website is all about in the next 5 seconds then you have a problem right there. Revise your website until the time comes that the moment a visitors lands on your page they can tell what your company is all about. This isn't only logical but it makes your company look more professional

So here are some of the don'ts when it comes to web design, I hope you don't do the same mistakes as the other did, the only other tip I can say is learn from their mistakes and not imitate them.
