In today's modern world computers have become a part of ones life, it could be as simple as checking e-mail from your friends and relatives, or looking for jobs or managing your bank accounts.

A recent study by International Data Corp is a market research and analysis firm specializing in information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology.
According to them nearly Sixty percent of the American households have at least one or more Personal computer ( PC )

If you where one of the multiple Personal computer owners, you would have probably thought about how easy it would be if your computers could talk to each other and are not connected to the Ethernet wire, so you would have ease to carry from your living room to your bed room, so you can work with ease. Wireless Internet is the answer

Wireless Networking allows to share one single printer between several group of computers, it also gives flexibility to share single internet connection, work files, images, spreadsheets and documents, If you are tired you can also play games with multiple users.
Most people think that networking your home or small office can be painful lots of wires, connections and the like. Plus, you have to make everything talk to one another. It's not as much of a challenge as you might think. With most people using Microsoft Windows operating systems, networking has been built in since Windows 3.11. Introduced in Windows 98, "Internet Connection Sharing" is a standard part of the operating system, allowing one several computer to share an Internet connection with all computers on the home or office network. So, if you are running Windows, you can share files, printers and resources across your network without too much of a hassle.

How WLANs Work ?

A wireless LAN also called (WLAN) is a flexible data communication system implemented as an extension to, or as an alternative for, a Ethernet wired LAN within a building or campus. Using electromagnetic waves, WLANs transmit and receive data over the air, minimizing the need for wired connections. Thus, WLANs combine data connectivity with user mobility, and, through simplified configuration, enable movable LANs from one place to another. Over the last 10 years, WLANs have gained strong popularity in a number of vertical markets, including the health-care, retail, manufacturing & sales, warehousing, knowledge sharing & academic arenas. These industries have profited from the productivity achieved of using hand held terminals and notebook computers ( laptops ) to transmit real-time information to centralized hosts ( Server ) for processing. Today WLANs are becoming more widely recognized as a general-purpose connectivity alternative for a broad range of business customers.
